Move in close

MOVE IN CLOSE

Don't be frightened to move in close to your subject. Your goal is to fill the picture area and maintain interest.

A closer view will always reveal more detail and interest.

However don't get so close as to blur the resultant picture. For most cameras the closest focusing distance is approximately one step away from subject or object.

Refer to your camera manual for minimum camera to subject distances - this varies from camera to camera.

Experiment with different shots and see and assess the results you achieve. You will be pleasantly surprised. In many ocassions it will be better to move in rather than zoom in.

Happy shooting
